Access to Care
The Care Our Community needs
The goal of this action group is to improve health outcomes by increasing access to care by championing policies, practices, and partnerships that promote health equity and combat factors including race, income, ZIP code, experiences, and other social factors. These largely determine a person’s access to resources, health care, and opportunities to live a healthy life.
To do this, this action group team meets monthly to discuss current barriers to care, plan events, and more.
Our initiatives and action groups are always busy. Check out upcoming events.
We provide free dental work in exchange for volunteer service. Learn more.

In order to create 100% access to care, the PHA team focuses on the following areas:
- Promote insurance literacy and educate community regarding preventive services that are covered by insurance
- Increase knowledge of the availability of supports in the community (free clinics, sliding fees, high deductible, co-pays, charity care, etc.)
- Monitor government rules related to access
